ICE

Instant Combat Eradication

No block. No takedown. You react within the first tenth of a second and you end it. ICE is an immediate-reaction protocol, not a martial art.

01 — The system

The threat is not managed. It is removed.

I
Instant

No sizing up, no guard, no reading the opponent. The response fires before conscious decision.

C
Combat

No competition, no scoring, no rulebook. The context is a real assault: no rounds, no referee.

E
Eradication

The sequence does not end in a grip or a hold: it ends when the threat can no longer continue.

02 — Core principles

Six rules, zero exceptions

No blocking. Only striking.

Every defensive motion is already an attack. Time spent defending is time handed to the aggressor.

Bone is the weapon

You strike with bone surfaces: structure, not precision. The surface changes with the situation, the principle does not. You don't train the fist, you train the line.

No ground, no grips

No locks, no pins, no control. On the ground you lose time, vision and any chance to leave.

One direction only

Absolute economy: the line goes forward and never comes back. No wind-up, no reset, no second attempt.

Pre-emption, not reaction

You read intent, not the strike. Once the strike is launched you are already two tenths late.

Immediate closure

The sequence is designed to end, not to last. One goal: stop the offensive capability and leave the scene.

03 — The four phases

Under one second

Indicative reference timings used in training to calibrate the sequence.

Detection

Recognising hostile intent: distance, hands, eyes, context.

Entry

You close the distance while the aggressor is still loading.

Structure

Bone structure works on the opponent's structure: balance and posture collapse.

Closure

Offensive capability is stopped, disengagement is immediate. No control phase.

05 — The founder

Mauro Sala

Founder of the ICE system

Instructor since 2012. Krav maga and operational shooting instructor, SOG and COS instructor. Field training led to one simple conclusion: in a real assault there is no time for complex technique. ICE is the synthesis of that conclusion.

06 — Courses and levels

Four levels

LIV. I

Civilian basics

For complete beginners: distance, threat recognition, first reaction, exit.

LIV. II

Application

Full sequences under stress, multiple scenarios, confined spaces and everyday objects.

LIV. III

Operational

Restricted to law enforcement, security and military: gear integration, holstered weapon, two-man work.

07 — Self-defense and limits

Force has one boundary: the law

ICE is a high-intensity system. That is why training includes, as a mandatory part of the curriculum, the legal framework for the use of force: necessity, immediacy of danger and proportionality of the response. An effective but disproportionate response is still a crime.

First option: leave

If there is a way out, that is the correct technique.

Proportionality

Maximum intensity is admissible only against an immediate danger to physical safety.

After the event

Calling emergency services and authorities is part of the protocol, not an afterthought.

This site is informational. Techniques are taught in person only, with a certified instructor, in a controlled environment. No operational content is published online.
